Sunset refinery was chosen for inclusion in the Southern Open 2009, juried by Eleanor Heartney, a writer and editor for Art in America. Southern Open takes place at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, Louisiana, opening on May 9th and running through July 25th.

If you are near Lafayette in the beginning of May, come by the reception, from 6 – 8 PM on May 9th.

The Puffin Foundation has generously provided me with a grant to pursue my cancer allies project.  Since its founding in 1983, the Puffin Foundation Ltd. has sought to open the doors of artistic expression by providing grants to artists and art organizations who are often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to their race, gender, or social philosophy.
