Frontier Preachers @ Soap Factory, MN

I am fortunate to be included in a show called Frontier Preachers curated by Jayme McLellan from Civilian Art Projects in DC. The show has work from a great group of New Orleans artists who are floating their work upstream to Minneapolis, the headwaters of the Mississippi River. The show will be at the Soap Factory from June 6 to July 26 with an opening reception Saturday june 6 from 7 -11 PM.

I will be showing two pieces, a new freshly rendered extended version of Sunset Refinery, and a new piece I’m calling Swamp Gas.

All over but to cry

I just finished doing some effects work for a documentary about hurricane Audrey in 1957, called “All over but to cry.” The doc is produced by Jennifer John Block and Jake Springfield. It will premiere in Lake Charles on Sat May 30th, 7PM at the FG Bulber Auditorium at McNeese State University. The next saturday, June 6, it will premiere in New Orleans at the Louisiana Humanities Center, 938 Lafayette St. at the same time, 7PM.

All of the effects required lots of water, which was very difficult to do.
