Jonathan has put together a charity fundraiser to support the recovery from the tragic BP oil leak, through Gulf Aid. A great group of artists have each created a limited edition print that will be available for purchase online at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery’s website and at a special 3 day show in the gallery, June 17 – 19.

For the fundraiser, I created an image of a pelican, perhaps rising phoenix like from the oil.

thurs through sunday (June 13th) are the last days for the la artworks studio residents show. la artworks is open 11 am – 5 pm. if you come by saturday, i’ll be there to give you a personal tour.

Field Recordings: New Video Work by Courtney Egan opens at Heriard Cimino Gallery on julia st in nola this sat from 6-8pm. the show will be up for the month of june. I think the show is fabulous. Come out and see what you think.

a studio in the woods is having their forestival celebration of art and nature out in the woods on sat, june 5th from 11 am until 5pm. If you have never been out there, this would be the perfect time to visit. If you have, you know that it is a hidden treasure, so go out and support them. there will be music by panorama jazz band, artist presentations, botany tours, kid art activities and an auction chock full of goodies including work by ron bechet, theresa cole, jan gilbert, shawn hall, and myself.

A couple of  my pieces were selected to be in a show called Resilience at the Williams Tower Gallery in downtown houston. The show opens thurs, june 3, 6-8 pm and is up until july 16th. Other artists in the show include Pat Cronin and Mitchell Gaudet.
